Randy Muller : Jazz Remakes No. 65
Sweet and smooth grooves from the legendary Randy Muller — an artist we know from his great work with larger horns in 70s soul, but who steps out nicely here on his own!
The album focuses on Randy’s own work on funky flute — and features some really great grooves with a sweetly jazzy style! Given Muller’s pedigree in classic club, the rhythms here are a lot better than you’d hear on similar albums of this nature — never too smooth, nor too polished — always nicely chunky, and often a bit funky — a perfect setting for Randy’s sweetly gliding solos on flute!
Most titles are instrumental, but there are a bit of vocals on the record too.
