Bush Tetras : Very Very Happy
Wednesday 3 December 2008Funk/punk stars of the New York scene in the 80s, the Bush Tetras were the most famous and resourceful band of the time. They are now on the forefront of the post-punk/new wave revival with The Slits, Sonic Youth, Pere Ubu, Mekons, Gang Of Four & James Chance…
Their primal, almost animal energy is still intact after all these years, and can be felt in their very latest record.
Very Very Happy features two unpublished tracks, Nails and Motorhead, plus six that were just re-recorded at the Looking Glass Studios, New York, in the same way the group wanted to do it from the beginning, without getting a chance until now.
The album got three new music videos, including the reprise of Ed Steinberg’s classic, Too Many Creeps, which stages the devastating reality of the urban disintegration at the end of the 70s and the beginning of the 80s.
