Maniacx was born in 2003 around Stef a.k.a FLIK FLAK, multi instrumentalist (guitar, bass, drums, keyboards…), this phenomenon perfectly masters every single method to make the people move, and if Maniacx didn’t exist, Flik Flak’s music would be predestined for a rock band starring Bob The Sponge, Dr. Globule and Bart Simpson.

Ben a.k.a NAWAK, singer with crazy and passionate lyrics, praising the good side of all things with his touch of madness. His words tell real stories or fiction, always expressed with a reasonable and coherent but still crazy logic. Nawak’s powerful flow has no reason to be jealous of the rappers from across the atlantic. He was born a freestyler, so he is always in for a little session !

Fred a.k.a DUFF is the « Chef » of the group with his electro-recipes, and cooks with his turntable the Maniacx sauce, made up of Game Boy sounds and spicy scratch, that he only can make. Duff’s twirling atmospheres always make him split personalities, and he then becomes Mr. Starlight, whose twinkly and multifaceted head is represented on most of this planet’s dancefloors.

Maniacx released a first eponym album, acclaimed by the press, and managed to establish itself as one of the main groups on the french hip-hop/electro/rock scene. In 2008, Maniacx releases a new album, CRAZY SOUNDS WITH THE ALIENS, produced by Bill Cox at the Cox In Hell studio. This CD offers 14 tracks, crunky, rock and electro, made in Maniacx.
